Botafogo Football and sailing Club has six sites across Rio, the epicentre being General Severiano where the professional football team train and members can make the most of the sports complex, restaurants and official club shop. Mourisco Mar (2295 324, Avenida Repórter Nestor Moreira, Botafogo) is the swimming centre with great views of Sugarloaf and Botafogo Bay, and Sacopa (2226 6672, Avenida Epitácio Pessoa 1561, Lagoa) houses the yacht club. The club took control of the Stadium Rio in 2008 following its construction for the Pan American Games a year earlier, and now plays all its home games there.
